چکیده
Truncus arteriosus (TA) is defined as a congenital cardiovascular malformation in which one great artery arises from the base of heart and gives origin to pulmonary systemic arteries. TA patients who become pregnant have high morbidity mortality rates because physiologic changes during pregnancy can worsen cardiopulmonary balance causing decompensation. In this case report we successful general anesthesia truncus patient with severe hypertension (Eisenmenger syndrome) underwent full-term delivery monitored by intraoperative transesophageal echocardiography, new technique assist physicians dealing hemodynamic instability both cardiac noncardiac surgery.

متن کاملGeneral anesthesia with remifentanil for cesarean section in a parturient with severe mitral and tricuspid regurgitation
Valvular heart lesions have deleterious effects on hemodynamics in parturients during pregnancy. Cesarean section with an opioid-based general anesthesia is used to alleviate the adverse effects. We described a case of a 28-year-old primigravida at 37 weeks’ gestation with a diagnosis of severe mitral regurgitation, tricuspid regurgitation, and pulmonary hypertension in active labor. Cesarean s...
متن کاملEpidural Anesthesia for Cesarean Section in a Pregnant Woman with Marfan Syndrome and Dural Ectasia
Marfan syndrome (MFS) is a genetic disorder of connective tissue, characterized by variable clinical features and multisystem complications. The anesthetic management during delivery is debated. Regional anesthesia has been used with success during cesarean delivery, but in some MFS patients there is a probability of erratic and inadequate spread of intrathecal local anesthetics as a result of ...
متن کامل[Anesthesia for cesarean section in pregnant woman with Guillain Barré syndrome: a case report].
BACKGROUND AND OBJECTIVES Guillain Barré syndrome (GBS) is an autoimmune neurological disease characterized by an acute or subacute demyelinating polyradiculoneuritis. It is an unusual event during pregnancy and a challenge for the anesthesiologist, due to the possibility of impairment of neuromuscular function and occurrence of respiratory complications in the postoperative period. The objecti...
متن کاملEvaluation of the Adequacy of General Anesthesia in Cesarean Section by Bispectral Index
Background: Awareness and recall, though not common, are the major hazards of general anesthesia, especially in Cesarean section (C/S) because of the absence of benzodiazepine and opioids for a significant time during anesthesia. In this study, the Bispectral Index (BIS), end-tidal isoflurane, and hemodynamic parameters were examined to evaluate the depth of the routine general anesthetic techn...
